The 2024 Beta Explorer: Dominating with Superior Tires

The 2024 Beta Explorer stands head and shoulders above the competition, thanks in large part to its exceptional tire selection. Sporting rear Kenda knobby tires (90/100-18) and front Kenda tires (70/100-19), the Explorer offers a distinct advantage in off-road performance.

The Kenda brand is renowned for its commitment to quality and durability. These specialized tires provide unmatched traction and stability, ensuring a secure grip on challenging terrains. The rear Kenda knobby tires are specifically designed to dig into loose or soft soil, providing enhanced control and minimizing slippage. This means riders can confidently tackle rugged trails, muddy paths, and rocky inclines with ease.

Comparatively, when stacked against the Surron X, the Explorer’s tire selection is a game-changer. While the Surron X may boast commendable features, its tire configuration is not as tailored for aggressive off-road adventures. The Explorer’s Kenda tires outperform the Surron X in terms of traction, durability, and adaptability to diverse terrains.

In essence, the Explorer sets a new standard for off-road electric dirt bikes, offering riders an unparalleled advantage with its superior tire selection. With Kenda’s top-of-the-line tires, this bike confidently conquers the toughest trails, making it the ultimate choice for thrill-seekers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. Ride with confidence, ride with the Explorer.

Chassis and Power Delivery

The Beta Explorer is using a pressure forged aluminum chassis with a steel upper structure. Most competitors are using aluminum only, so looks like Beta chose to beef up the upper frame with steel to support the extra power and weight.

The rechargeable battery can be charged on the dirt bike. The 74V battery can also be removed with ease, in minutes.

The upside down front fork and the rear shock are both adjustable. The linkage style rear shoch has an adjustable compression, rebound, and spring preload. Together with the rear Kenda knobby tires (90/100-18) and front Kenda tires (70/100-19), the Beta Explorer has leg up on the contenders as we expect the suspension and tires to work better than matching competition.

The final drive of the Beta Explorer
The Beta Explorer drivetrain is compact. The motor is directly connected with the final drive, chain and sprocket.

Another thing worth mentioning is that the model is not equipped with a headlight, or a rear lights. This likely means that it is not street legal although it can be made street legal with ease. Check other street legal dirt bikes here.

Display and Drive Modes

The Beta Electric boasts an intuitive digital display that puts control at your fingertips. Providing real-time feedback on range, mode, and speed, it ensures a seamless riding experience. The display also features a total mileage tracker for convenient monitoring.

What truly sets the Explorer apart are its versatile drive modes. With options like Casual, Medium, and the exhilarating “Rocket” mode, riders can tailor their experience to suit their preferences. Casual mode offers an extended range of 50-100 miles, making it ideal for leisurely exploration. Meanwhile, Medium mode doubles the speed and torque for a more dynamic ride, with a range of 30-60 miles. Finally, “Rocket” mode delivers a quick burst of adrenaline, perfect for those seeking an intense 10-second thrill.

Beta Explorer Top Speed

The Beta Explorer has a top speed of 40mph, which is plenty for most trail riding.

In other electric dirt bikes, you can bypass the max power and top speed to gain more power from the dirt bike. This may be the case with the Beta E-Moto as well.
